Windows 7 Features !

Windows 7 is the latest version of Microsoft Windows for computers like laptops, desktops, net books, and media center, among others. Since it is the latest, it offers more features than its predecessor. Before a user can use Windows 7, however, there are certain system requirements that need to be fulfilled first.

Listed below are the minimum requirements for Windows 7 that was released last January.

• 1GB of RAM
• 1GHz processor (can be 64-bit or 32-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics (with 128 MB memory)
• 16 GB memory space of disk space

On the other hand, below is a list of the requirements for Windows 7 system requirements that was released last April.

• 1GB or 2GB of RAM
• 1GHz processor (64-bit or 32-bit)
• 20 GB disk space for 64-bit and 16 GB disk space for 32-bit
• DirectX9 graphics device

Windows 7 is actually available in 6 editions. However, as of now, only Professional, Home and Ultimate editions are sold to consumers in most areas. The remaining editions target a different market like those involved in an enterprise. Each edition of Windows 7 is of course packed with different features for the varying needs of its target computer users.

All editions of Windows 7 support 32-bit processor architecture. Meanwhile, all editions with the exclusion of Home Basic and Starter support the 64-bit processor architecture. As for the installation media, all are the same for the consumer editions of this Windows 7.

In essence, Microsoft is selling Windows 7 as a way to simplify one’s computer unit. However, it should be made clear that different editions of Windows 7 are available to respond to the different needs of the computer users. For instance, the Starter edition is ideal for net books, while the Home Basic is apparently for home users. Professional edition is for business people.

Windows 7 also offers an interesting interface. If you want to do more with your computer, you should perhaps consider installing Windows 7 on it. According to Microsoft, Windows 7 could actually be considered the refined version of the Windows Vista that is earlier released. The makers of Windows 7 also promised less problems with it comes to compatibility.
